I am a lifetime resident of rural Ford County and Dodge City. I grew up on a farm, raising crops and animals and spent 13 years as a member of 4H where I learned many skills, including leadership, public speaking, and developed a love of photography and acting. I attended school from Kindergarten through graduation in Minneola and graduated from Dodge City Community College with a degree in Mass Communications.
I founded and built Josh Roesener Photography in 2008, a photography studio and business that specialize in senior and family portraits, event, and commercial photography. I have been nationally published in True West Magazine and KANSAS Magazine. I have taken many of the photos used in the promotional materials for Dodge City tourism and many local businesses and organizations including Boot Hill Museum, Depot Theater Company, Dodge City CVB, and the Dodge City Chamber.
I started as an intern at Rocking M Radio in February 2008. In December of 2008 I was hired full time as the morning show host on 96.3 The Marshal. I worked as program director, developing the programming that has helped make it one of the most popular radio stations in the area. In April 2016 I became General Manager of the Dodge City/Garden City cluster of Rocking M stations, 93.9 fm, 95.5 fm, 96.3 fm, 1370 am. I provide voice over work and production for local businesses and events as well as businesses across the Rocking M network in Kansas.
In 2010 a friend and I founded a professional DJ service. We provide music and entertainment for all kinds of events throughout the area.
In 2011 I became the 4thowner of Tin Lizzies Old West Photo Emporium, which was founded at the Kansas State Fair in 1975. My team and I take unique antique photos with Old West costumes and props.
I have been a part of the Boot Hill Museum Gunfighters and staff since 2003. I worked there through high school and continue to be a cast member. Boot Hill Museum has opened many opportunities for my photography, performing, and voice over work, including narrating promotional videos for Boot Hill Museum, appearing in Kansas tourism promotions and videos. I narrated and appeared in an episode of American Trucker, and acted in an film called “Home on the Range,” a documentary that tells the incredible story of our state song, Home on the Range.
If you need high quality photography, DJ service, or voice over work send me a message, I will be happy to work with you.
